I originally bought a pair of Studio 0.5 in 1990. They lasted until 2009 when along with my orginal amp one of them fried. Well these replacement speakers arrived yesterday and were instantly installed :-) - All working fine , they are more musical than the TDL RTL2s I have been using - but don't handle the power so well, so the amp needs to be reigned in. Whereas the RTLs connected to an AV set up with KEF surrounds and sub literally part your hair, the Studio 0.5 simply strokes it and with direct sound and the sub off line are much less boxy with a better quality bass extension imparting real presence to the music. Studio 0.5s have a beautiful natural sound at lower volume levels with acoustic music, not as punchy with Rock as the RTLs but a real Hi-Fi mini classic with any well crafted source.
Thanks for your help finding myself again in front of a working pair of my old favourites, now I must get that old pair in the loft fixed.... :-)
